Youth Angler of the Year Contest

The Youth Angler of the Year (YAY) contest was designed in 2012 to get kids outdoors & fishing - and it did just that! Over 50 young anglers participated & submitted over 800 entries into the contest.

This year’s YAY contest begins on April 19th (Opening Day of Striped Bass Season in Maryland) and ends in mid-December (Closing Day of Striped Bass Season in Maryland). Youth anglers will receive points for catching and/or releasing fish, receiving state citations, state/world records & entering/registering for MSSA events. The youth angler that accumulates the most points will be awarded the title of the 2014 MSSA Youth Angler of the Year.

Please visit http://mssa.net/youthanglerclub for details regarding the contest, official rules, standings and potential prizes to be awarded.  Entries must be submitted according the official contest rules by email to: yay@mssa.net.
